Chocolate Protein Granola

4 cups rolled oats
2 scoops of collagen
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup cacao powder
1/4 Shields Date Sugar®
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup date syrup
1 large egg white
1 cup dried fruit of choice (optional)

Preheat oven to 300º. Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Combine dry ingredients first, then incorporate the wet ingredients until fully combined. Spread the granola mixture onto the cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes. Stir the granola carefully, spreading it smooth again before reducing the temperature to 250º and baking for an additional 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven. The granola will still feel soft, so set the tray aside and let it cool. After it hardens and becomes crunchy, you can serve with and enjoy!
