30 days if non-perishable. Perishable items cannot be returned by mail or to our store. If you receive a damaged or defective perishable item, please contact customer service the day of with the following information:

  • Order number
  • Date of arrival
  • Photo of condition the item arrived in
  • Detailed explanation of the issue
  • Whether you prefer a refund or replacement

  • Whether you prefer to exchange the item/s, receive store credit or a full refund. Once received and reviewed Shields Date Garden has full right to determine which type of “refund” will be issued

Gift Cards

Shields plastic or paper Gift Cards are not returnable or refundable for cash except in states where required by law.

PROCEDURE FOR FILING A CLAIM

Thank you for shopping at www.shieldsdategarden.com Shields Date Garden is committed to providing the highest quality of fruit and fruit products since 1924. Our fruit has been carefully graded, packed, and inspected by our Production and Quality Control Team. Although we strive to provide our customers with exceptional products, we understand there may be issues and concerns regarding your order. Please submit your request or complaint via email to—————–. Only e-mail communications submitted prior to shipment or within a 48-hour period after receipt of order will be eligible for review.  Please provide us with your contact information, order number and pictures of the product. Our team will carefully review your information and if you are eligible for a refund, replacement, online store credit or an exchange of another item of equal or lesser value and we will respond within 1-3 business days. Any taxes charged will be refunded in accordance with state laws.  

RETURN POLICY

Due to Food Safety regulations Shields Date Garden does not accept returns of consumable food products. If you experience a quality issue, please contact us within 48 hours after receiving your order. Please do not send us a return without receiving a return authorization code and confirming with our Shields Date Garden team to ensure your return is received properly. Please note: Returns may be subject to a restocking fee.  

REFUND POLICY

Orders that are cancelled prior to shipment of goods are eligible for a refund. However, a credit card fee will be deducted from your total refund amount in the amount of 2.6%. Upon shipment of goods to customer, our strict company policy regarding refunds is to only issue store credits if within the 48-hour time frame a claim has been submitted following the guidelines set.     

SHIPPING POLICY

You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. An Address Correction charge of $19.50 per package up to a maximum of $100.00 per shipment will be assessed to the shipper for an address correction or completion. If your package is undeliverable and/or requires updating of information, you will be responsible for additional carrier fees when applicable. If your package is undeliverable and should you decide to cancel your order, all carrier fees will be deducted from the total amount of your refund. If your package is undeliverable and is brought back to our facility, you have 2 business days to reroute the package, additional fees may apply, pending guidelines set by the transport company chosen. Please note: Shipping charges are non-refundable. Please see USPS and FED X policy.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING POLICY

Orders shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country. The customer placing the order for an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties, and fees, which are determined based on the recipient’s country. Shields Date Garden has no control over these charges, nor does Shields Date Garden have control over the amount of time packages remain under border inspection. Please note: All duties, taxes, and customs fees are non-refundable by Shields Date Garden
